Testing and evaluation are important components of the education process. Tests are used to evaluate individual student progress, determine skill level for appropriate placement, and determine the effectiveness of our programs.
Students perform best on tests when they have had a good night’s sleep, a good breakfast and have been prepared at school with appropriate test-taking skills. We expect that our students will do well on tests.
The testing schedule for the school year will be provided to all parents when it is released by the PGCPS Testing Department. Keep in mind that additional assessments can occur at each grade level to assess the progress of a student's mastery of essential learner outcomes.
