The 2024-2025 school year kicks off soon, with students' first school day on Monday, August 26! Check out the top 10 things you must know to start strong and soar high!

1. ParentVUE

   • Create or activate your ParentVUE account

2. Enrollment

   • Register for school online

3. Transportation

   • Transportation - Transportation assignments may be viewed in ParentVUE. Also, look out for postcards with route information in the mail the week of Aug. 19.

4. Download the Bus App

   • Download the StopFinder app to track your child’s school bus in real-time. An active ParentVUE account is required to receive an invitation to activate the app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.

5. School Meals

   • View meal prices, menus and apply for Free/reduced-price meals!

6. Find Your Back-to-School Night

   • Find you Back to School Night date and time to meet school leaders and teachers to learn about expectations and resources.

7. Read Our Transportation Update

   • PGCPS announced strategies last spring that will improve transportation services for our students, including adjustments to school start and end times and bus assignments for the 2024-25 school year.

8. Learn About Special Education Services

   • The Special Education Office held a virtual town hall on August 15th. Visit the Special Education Office website to learn about educational support programs.

9. Back to School Drive and Dash

   • Stop by one of three sites to get a free backpack while supplies last at the annual Back to School Drive and Dash on August 17th.
