Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School Seniors Excel in Academics, Athletics, and Career Readiness
Graduates from Dr. Henry A. Wise, Jr. High School celebrated an exceptional year of achievement across academics, career and technical education, and athletics. Seniors earned an impressive $$12,640,163.00 in scholarship awards reflecting their hard work and post-secondary readiness.
The school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs also produced outstanding results, with 26 seniors earning the Apple Swift endorsement, 30 seniors receiving the CISCO endorsement, 27 seniors completing the PRO START certification, and 8 students earning NAF certifications.
Athletically, Wise students earned $2,442,589 in scholarship offers among 21 student-athletes. Over the last four years, the athletics program has achieved remarkable success, including a 2023 Football State Championship, two State Finalist appearances, four State Final Four appearances, nine regional championships across six sports, and eight county championships spanning seven sports.
This year also marked the inauguration of the school’s Girls Flag Football program, where all nine senior athletes committed to continuing their education at colleges or career technical schools, with five students advancing to play flag football at the collegiate level.
