Welcome to another new school year! It is with great pride, gratitude, and excitement that I welcome you back to another year of learning, growth, and success.

As I begin my fourth year as Principal and my eleventh year serving the Judge Sylvania Woods community, I remain deeply honored to lead this exceptional school. Judge Sylvania Woods is more than my workplace—it is my home away from home. Every day, I am inspired by our incredible students, dedicated staff, supportive families, and community partners who make JSW such a special place.

At Judge Sylvania Woods, we believe every child deserves a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where they are challenged, supported, and celebrated. Our commitment extends beyond academic achievement as we strive to develop confident learners, responsible citizens, and compassionate leaders. This year, we will continue strengthening the systems and structures that support high-quality instruction while building on the many successes we achieved together. Our instructional focus will emphasize strong literacy and mathematics instruction, meaningful student engagement, and data-informed teaching that meets the diverse needs of every learner. We will also continue our school-wide commitment to improving student attendance because we know that every day in school matters, and consistent attendance is one of the strongest predictors of student success.

We will continue creating opportunities for students to excel academically while participating in enriching experiences that foster creativity, leadership, and personal growth.
