Our office focuses on various functions, such as issuance of initial licenses, licensure renewals/advancements, endorsements, educational salary lane changes, and tuition reimbursement. We strive to empower our educators and play a part in facilitating their career success.

Non-Contracted, Supporting Personnel Employees

For non-contracted, supporting personnel employees, please contact the Maryland State Department of Education at 1-866-772-8922. The Certification Office is not authorized to complete evaluations, credit counts, add endorsements or accept official documentation for individuals who are non-contracted employees with Prince George’s County Public Schools. Certification regulations are subject to change without notice.

Official Transcripts

- All official transcripts should be sent directly from the institution to licensure.escrip@pgcps.org

Renewal/Advancement Documents

- Items such as Professional Development Reports, Professional Development Plans (PDP) and Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP) may be uploaded under Continuing Education in your TEACH Dashboard.

Tests

- Tests may be uploaded when completing an Add Endorsement application in TEACH or submitting renewal or advancement documentation as a Conditional License holder.

Salary Lane Change Information

An electronic Salary Lane Change Request or Credit Count Request form must be submitted at the time the educator qualifies for placement on the new lane on the salary scale. Retroactive wages will be issued effective at the start of the pay period in which the Department of Human Resources received the documents.

Tuition Reimbursement

Pursuant to the Negotiated Agreements for PGCEA, ASASP, Local 2250 and Local 400, employees that have completed qualified course work are eligible to apply for tuition reimbursement. Applications and payments will be processed online in the order they are received until all funds for the bargaining unit are depleted.
