This project involves the relocation and opening of John Hanson Montessori School at the Potomac Landing Elementary School site, supported by the construction of new modular classroom buildings and a series of site and facility enhancements. The project is designed to accommodate John Hanson students while maintaining school operations, safety, and transportation services.
The plan includes the placement of modular buildings on the Potomac Landing campus, with evergreen tree screening proposed to improve aesthetics and reduce visibility from surrounding roadways. The modular placement and landscaping are intended to integrate with the existing site and surrounding community.
In addition to the modular buildings, the project includes multiple facility upgrades at Potomac Landing, such as LED lighting replacement, interior repainting, a new playground, upgraded AI-capable security cameras, frontage improvements, sidewalk widening, tree planting, and bike lane enhancements.

Construction teams are moving forward with final permit approval, sediment and erosion controls, stormwater management installation, foundations, and modular placement.
