TRANSPORTATION: Transportation provided.

Please note that while PGCPS provides bus transportation to and from all Specialty Programs, routes for our lottery programs (Cesar Chavez, Overlook, and Phyllis E. Williams), as well as Kettering Middle School and Largo High School cover larger geographic areas. Families should plan for commute times of approximately 90 minutes each way.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Students learn Spanish, while learning the same grade level material as other PGCPS students.   Immersion Programs schools prepare students to bilingual, biliterate, and bi-cultural.  Many of our graduates have earned the Maryland State Seal of Biliteracy on their diploma.

• Middle School students can choose the pathway that best supports their current language proficiency

APPLICATION INFO

Who can apply

Students can apply for our lottery programs the school year before they will be Kindergarteners.  Students can test in for any available spaces in Grades 1 and above for our lottery programs.

When to apply

• Kindergarten lottery applications are accepted during the lottery window. Lottery information can be found here.
• The application for testing into the program for Grades 1 and above opens in October and closes in March for the next school year.
