Dear Lewisdale Families,

We hope this message finds you well and enjoying the beautiful spring season! Thank you for your continued support and for attending the many events held last month. Your partnership makes a tremendous difference in the success of our school community.

As we move into May, we remain focused on finishing the school year strong—academically and socially—for all of our scholars.

PreK Registration and Kindergarten Now Open

Prekindergarten registration is currently taking place. Please contact Mrs. Garcia to schedule an appointment. Families may also begin the registration process through ParentVUE.

State & County Assessments

Our students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 will continue participating in the MCAP State Assessment on the following dates: May 1, 5, 6, 8, 11, 13, 14, and 15.

Grades 4 and 5 will also take county assessments on May 27 and May 28.

Additionally, i-Ready data will play a critical role in informing our decisions about instruction, placement, and support for the upcoming school year. Because of this, it is extremely important that every student takes these assessments seriously and puts forth their best effort.

How You Can Support Your Child

• • Ensure your child is present and on time each day, especially during testing
  • Encourage a good night’s sleep and a positive mindset
  • Remind your child to take their time and do their best
  • Reinforce the importance of showing what they have learned

At school, we are committed to providing a supportive and encouraging environment so that all students feel confident and successful.

Teacher Appreciation Week: May 4–May 8, 2026

Teacher Appreciation Week is quickly approaching! We are excited to celebrate the incredible educators who make a difference in our students’ lives every single day. Their dedication, passion, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

We invite all families to join us in showing gratitude and appreciation for our amazing staff!

3rd Quarter Awards Ceremonies

(Invitations have been sent to parents)

Grades 4 & 5: 8:30 AM

Grades 2 & 3: 9:30 AM

All ceremonies will be held in the gymnasium.

  • May 19: PreK Parent Meeting (Kindergarten Program Information)
  • May 25: Schools Closed – Memorial Day
  • May 29: Field Day

It is now time to ensure your address and emergency contact information is up to date. Please log into ParentVUE to review and update your information.

If your child will not be returning to Lewisdale Elementary School next school year, please contact the front office as soon as possible.
