About Dr. Kara Miley-Libby
Dr. Libby is currently the Director of Community Schools for Financial Management overseeing the fiscal aspects for the Concentration of Poverty Grant for over 145 schools in the Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). She mostly recently held the position of Director of the Strategic Initiative Office for PGCPS, along with serving as the Blueprint Coordinator for Prince George’s County. Dr. Libby has held various roles in her 41-year tenure in PGCPS from classroom teacher to Social Studies Supervisor, K-12; Director of Curriculum and Instruction; Executive Director for the Division of Teaching and Learning; and Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Libby continues to be dedicated to the county of Prince George’s in which she is a native and to the school system she attended during her formative years.
