The purpose of this administrative procedure is to provide a comprehensive framework for the operation of the Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) lottery and audition selection process. The primary purpose of the lottery and audition process is to provide an equitable and efficient means of providing access to specialty programs where the number of applicants potentially exceeds the available seats in the program. This administrative procedure is created to ensure equal access and equity for acceptance into these programs. At the discretion of the Superintendent, this administrative procedure may be applied to other programs.
