Graduation season is officially underway in PGCPS! We kicked off commencement celebrations on Friday, May 15 with the Academy of Health Sciences at Prince George’s Community College and Surrattsville High School, and look forward to honoring thousands of graduates as they cross the stage in the weeks ahead. Learn more about graduation season highlights, including a landmark new partnership with Bowie State University! View graduation dates.

Student-Build House... But Make It Tiny

On May 14, PGCPS unveiled its 49th Student-Built House project — the program’s first-ever tiny house! Built by Career and Technical Education (CTE) students, the project highlights hands-on learning in carpentry, HVAC, electrical work, and other skilled trades that prepare students for future careers. The event also recognized students with scholarships supporting their college and career pathways.

 

Heather Hills Wins Elementary Science Bowl Finals

In a close match with University Park Elementary, the Heather Hills Elementary team won this season’s elementary school The Science Bowl competition, 240 to 220!

An Introduction to Education Savings
