Project Scope
Construction of a new 369,806 sf high school in the Adelphi area with a capacity of 2,600 students to alleviate current overcrowding in neighboring schools and meet the demands of projected enrollment.

Past Month's Accomplishments
- Planning and permitting are ongoing.
- Coordination of the sports facility complex requirements for sharing with the University of Maryland.
July Lookahead
- Sports facility requirements will be finalized for use by both UMD and PGCPS students.
- A construction manager will be obtained.
April 2024
Past Month's Accomplishments
- The educational specifications were approved by the Board of Education on September 23, 2021; there were some minor revisions to reflect swing space.
- Discussions are underway with the University of Maryland in regards to an access road and joint use of its stadium.
- Meetings with stakeholders to finalize design are underway.
May Lookahead
- Continue the design of the project in Design Development to develop plans in more detail.
- Meetings with PGCPS and school leadership will continue.
- Meetings with the University of Maryland to finalize design intentions for the track & field facility that will serve both the students of the new high school and UMD needs will continue.
