Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the implementation of capital projects for the Prince George’s County Schools. The Project Management Supervisor oversees a team of project managers and support staff, implementing approximately $100 million in capital projects. Projects range from small capital improvements to new schools. Most projects are multi-year. The Project Management Supervisor ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with a high-quality result.

Salary Range: $93,607–$188,405

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Project Management Supervisor, coordinates and manages capital projects activities, including managing vendors, planning, design, bidding, construction, project closeout, change orders, and final inspection on assigned projects for new construction, renovations and/or capital improvements to existing facilities. The Project Manager III will also supervise and coordinate the work of several project managers according to type or location, such as major modernizations or HVAC projects. Directly or indirectly through project managers, the incumbent shall manage the Architects/Engineers (A/E) as well as the contractors working on the assigned projects. The incumbent shall work with the supervisors of the departments of Maintenance and Plant Operations, Transportation, Food and Nutrition Services, Area Offices, Purchasing and Supply Services, Safety and Security, Environmental Office, and Information Technology, as well as instructional departments to ensure that all requirements from these departments are met. The incumbent shall have familiarity with state and county requirements and regulations as well as jurisdictional requirements relevant to capital projects. The work is reviewed by the Project Management Supervisor to meet the goals and objectives of the department with quality of production as a top consideration.
