📚 Building Our New Strategic Plan
Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) is embarking on a multi-phase strategic planning process to shape the district's future.The plan is being developed through five key phases: Plan, Discover, Engage, Draft, and Launch. Throughout this process, we will gather input from district leaders, staff, students, and families to establish priorities, define measurable goals, and create a clear road map for success.

Use the PGCPS Strategic Priorities Senior Leadership Survey to rank current and potential district-wide strategic priorities

Clarify the purpose, scope, and timeline of the strategic planning process.

Identify key stakeholders for driving the process forward
Gather broad input to understand the experiences and priorities of the school community.
This includes:

Interim Superintendent listening sessions and town halls with students, families, staff, and community partners

Climate and culture survey results

Synthesis of qualitative and quantitative stakeholder data to identify emerging themes and inform proposed priorities

Deepen engagement and translate themes into actionable strategies:

Conduct focus groups with students, families, staff, and community partners

Share summary data with district leadership and proposing priorities

Share emerging themes with stakeholders and gather additional insights to confirm/refine the proposed priorities.

Develop key metrics, strategies, aligned actions, and key influencers
Transform the strategies into a cohesive plan:

Integrate feedback and align priorities into the Strategic Plan draft

Gather input from district and school leaders to ensure alignment with the MSDE Blueprint Plan

Revise and share the strategic plan draft with stakeholders for feedback
Finalize and launch the plan:

Incorporate final feedback and prepare for district-wide rollout.

Finalize the strategic plan and secure Board approval

Develop a communication plan for launching the new Strategic Plan
