November is National Family Engagement Month — a time to recognize the essential role families play in supporting student learning and success. At Prince George’s County Public Schools, we’re committed to helping families stay informed, connected, and involved all year long.
Parent Engagement Assistants (PEAs) work across the county to strengthen home–school connections, coordinate family events, and ensure every parent’s voice is heard. Watch their stories to see how they help families and schools collaborate for student success:
Parent–Teacher Conference Resources Conferences are an opportunity to connect with teachers, ask questions, and learn how to best support your child’s progress.
Explore our Parent–Teacher Conference Guide for Families for conversation tips and ideas to make the most of your time together.
The PGCPS Family Institute provides free virtual workshops to help families engage more deeply in their child’s education and development. This month’s sessions include:

Research shows that when parents get engaged in their child’s education, the motivation, behavior and grades of every child in class is positively impacted. Volunteering is a great way to engage!
All volunteers are required to complete the online volunteer application annually.
