From September 15 - October 15, we are proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and the rich cultures and contributions of our Latino communities! UNIDOS, SOMOS MÁS / TOGETHER, WE ARE MORE, reminds us that our collective strength comes from the tapestry of backgrounds and experiences that make our PGCPS community stronger. Throughout the month, we will learn, celebrate, connect, and honor the contributions of Latino students, families, educators, staff, and community leaders.

Throughout the month, we’ll hear from incredible Latino leaders in PGCPS and the community as they share how their heritage has shaped their purpose, leadership, and impact. Stay tuned to PGCPS social media and website!
Canvas of Culture: Art & Photo Challenge
We are hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month Art & Photo Challenge. Create an original drawing, painting, illustration, or photograph that honors a Latino leader who inspires you. You may choose anyone who makes or has made a positive impact!
The deadline to submit is October 5, 2026. Selected artwork and photography will be showcased on the PGCPS website and our social media channels during the final week of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Speakers Bureau
As part of our celebration, we are highlighting influential leaders across various industries, including law, economics, and media, who are available to speak with our students.
To maximize the impact of these sessions, we encourage school leaders and educators to coordinate across multiple classes.
