About

Mrs. Karess McNeil serves as the Coordinating Supervisor of Non-Traditional Program South (NTP South). A dedicated educator and advocate leader, Mrs. McNeil has spent over two decades fostering inclusive learning environments where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Prior to leading NTP South, Mrs. McNeil served as Assistant Principal at Dr. Henry Wise High School for seven years, where she was instrumental in managing school operations, mentoring new leaders, and spearheading initiatives for 9th-grade transition and English Language Learners. Her extensive background in Special Education—serving as an Instructional Specialist and Transition Coordinator—has deeply informed her commitment to meeting individual students' needs through data-driven instruction and restorative practices.

At NTP South, Mrs. McNeil oversees the integration of wraparound services, social-emotional learning, and Career and Technical Education (CTE). She is passionate about creating flexible learning schedules and strengthening community partnerships to provide students with real-world internships and mentoring.

Guided by the belief that graduation is a bridge to future success, she remains a tireless advocate for students, faculty, and the community.
