-We would like to inform you that our English Language Learners (ELLs) will be completing the WIDA ACCESS assessment from February 18 to February 27. This important test measures the English language proficiency of students in grades K-12 who have been identified as English Language Learners.

-What is WIDA ACCESS? WIDA ACCESS (Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State to State) is a standardized test administered by the WIDA consortium. It assesses students in four key domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The goal of this assessment is to determine your child’s level of English language development.

-How You Can Help:
- Ensure your child arrives to school on time during these dates.
- Encourage your child to eat a healthy breakfast to fuel their focus and energy.
- Support your child in doing their best on each part of the assessment.

- We are participating in the Chesapeake Baysox Reading Program. Students must read (4) books to win (2) tickets to a Baysox baseball game. This event ends on March 5, 2025.
