COVID-19 Spending Plan

State and federal funds were provided to Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on education. Accordingly, PGCPS submitted a report to the Governor, the General Assembly, and the Accountability and Implementation Board (AIB) on or before December 1 each year in 2021 through 2023. For the 2023-2024 school year, a report was submitted to the General Assembly and the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) by December 1, 2024. Each report detailed PGCPS’ use of federal and state funding received to implement the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, including a description of the amount of funding spent on student instruction.

Each report includes the use of grant funds for technology, reopening schools, wraparound services, instructional support, and emergency relief.
