The Innovation and Performance Area supports Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) and Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI) schools across PGCPS. Led by Associate Superintendent Dr. LeTrecia Gloster, the team partners closely with school leaders, educators, families, and community organizations to strengthen teaching, learning, and school systems.
Our work spans elementary, middle, and high schools and is grounded in collaboration, data-informed decision-making, and shared responsibility for student success.
Meet Dr. LeTrecia Gloster — leader of the district’s new Innovation and Performance Area — who is living her purpose by supporting the very schools she once attended and led. The Innovation Zone is designed to ensure our highest-need schools receive the strongest leaders and teachers, driving results where they matter most.
Every student deserves access to a high-quality education, regardless of zip code or circumstance. The Innovation and Performance Area exists to address persistent opportunity gaps and ensure students in CSI and ATSI schools receive the support, instruction, and resources they need to thrive.
Research and experience show that strong leadership, effective teaching, early intervention, and clear accountability can drive meaningful, lasting gains. By focusing on these levers, the Innovation and Performance Area helps schools disrupt cycles of underperformance and build sustainable paths to improvement.
The Innovation and Performance Area works with schools to:
This work is guided by a performance-driven framework that emphasizes support and accountability, data-informed planning, and continuous improvement.
