Effective December 31, 2024, Quarantine Leave and Quarantine Work will no longer be an option for COVID-19. This decision comes after careful consideration of current health guidelines and the various options for vaccinations which can significantly reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
Employees who test positive or have children who test positive will be required to use their own leave (annual, personal, and/or sick) for any necessary days off to recover or to quarantine following positive test results. Leave requests will need to be submitted using Oracle Employee Self-Service and approved by the Time Approver. Employees who have exhausted their leave (annual, personal, or sick) will be charged unpaid leave.
Quarantine work was approved for eligible employees to work from home during the applicable quarantine period if employees were in an eligible telework position. For employees who fit this criteria, you will now need to follow AP 4165 - Teleworking for Selected Employees. Teleworking may not be used as a substitute for leave usage. Employees will have to use leave for any missed days due to a quarantine diagnosis.
