The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future is groundbreaking legislation, passed in 2021, that promises a world class education for all students in the state of Maryland. Each school system is charged with developing a plan to implement the requirements of the Blueprint. This 10-year initiative is comprehensive and transformational; thus, it requires a phased approach.
On September 4, 2024, the AIB and MSDE fully approved the Prince George’s County Public Schools 2024 Blueprint Plan. The next iteration of the plan is due to the AIB in spring of 2027.
Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS), along with the other 23 local education agencies (LEAs), was asked to create a plan that ensures the Blueprint for Maryland's Future is implemented based on the requirements of the law.
